In my best authoritative record reviewer impression I’ll tell you that The Fever sound like if Tom Waits and Devo started a band in Iggy/Bowie era Berlin, moved to Brooklyn then spent all their drug money on bootleg hip-hop mix CDs at the Fulton Street Mall. But that could be wrong, because just this morning I thought they sounded like a panther trying to fight its way out of a mirrorball.
Started by lead-singer Geremy Jasper and guitarist Sanchez Esquire in 2000, they are joined by Esquire’s younger brother J on organ, Pony on bass, and Achilles on drums. After The Fever released their debut EP Pink On Pink for Kemado last summer, they spent the rest of the year ..
